Respect Life Apostolate

Mission / Goals:

Spiritual - To confirm the importance of prayer in the Respect Life movement

Educational - To keep our Parish and School informed on all Respect Life issues, such as abortion, euthanasia, chastity, morality and resources available to women and men in need of help and healing.

Pastoral - To reach out to those facing crisis pregnancies or suffering from the emotional scars of abortion by offering compassion and assistance.  Offer Christian love to all in life threatening circumstances.  The Respect Life Apostolate (RLA) of the Archdiocese of St. Louis endorses Project Rachel, Project Joseph, Lifeline Coalition, and the Convention Ad Booklet Campaign.

There is a wealth of resources about these programs on the Archdiocese’s website:  www.archstl.org/respectlife.  The tabs on the right are full of information. 

Responsibilities / Scope:  There are many opportunities to participate in the Respect Life Committee at Mary Queen of Peace and make a difference in the lives of many - born and unborn:

1. Drive food from Operation Food Search to Our Lady’s Inn
2. Assist the school with Spiritual Adoption
3. Archdiocesan essay contest
4. Our Lady’s Inn Baby Shower
5. Sponsor Prayerline and Living Rosary
6. Send welcome cards to MQP babies from MQP 2nd graders
7. Collect funds for the Archdiocesan Pro-Life committee
8. Sidewalk counseling and/or prayer at Planned Parenthood
9. Lifeline Coalition
10. Financially support a student attending the annual March for Life in Washington, D.C.
